Young as the Stars won top prize

A conversation on a hike, four days at a bootcamp, and the stars behind this website.

Young as the Stars, my two-minute AI short film, was one of the winners at the Fully Focused × CapCut AI Filmmaking Bootcamp in London. I made it there, in four days.

The idea came out of a day hiking with friends. Somewhere along the way the conversation turned to whether there is anything after death. Some had views shaped by religion, others did not. I shared my own, which comes from reasoning rather than belief: we are energy, and energy does not end, it only transforms. I came home thinking it might be nice to tell that point of view as a short visual story, and the bootcamp gave me the opportunity to do it.

CapCut sponsored the bootcamp, so the film was made on their platform. The models were Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5. The music came from Suno and the voices from ElevenLabs.

Watch Young as the Stars here, or on CapCut’s Showroom. One frame from this film is the actual night sky behind every page of this site.
